1910s/ 1920s BSA MOTOR BICYCLES wooden sign

Though there are quite a few surviving enamel signs for BSA bicycles and motorcycles (as well as 21st century copies), a 100-year-old BSA sign made of wood is a very rare item. The term MOTOR BICYCLE was used to describe the very first machines around 1902, and the name ‘motorcycle’ followed a few years later. But, unlike other companies, BSA continued to use the phrase ‘motor bicycle’ for several decades.
This attractive two-sided sign has slight damage on one corner, which you can see in the photos. Otherwise it is in excellent condition.
